re: Hydragas suspension

Hi Tommy, Hydragas is similar to Citroen type except it uses seperate sealed nitrogen chambers within each suspension unit. There are four of these units at each corner and they are interconnected front to rear. The fluid in the suspension unit is a water glycol mix under about 20bar pressure. It can be pressurised via schrader charging valves using a special pump. The pump up proceedure is routine but you need a suitable pump, the correct fluid spec and the suspension height and data settings. Repair operation manuals and suspension pumps come up often and cheaply on e-bay if you fancy attempting this job. The good news is that the Nitrogen tends to stay sealed as the seperating diaphram is robust, the bad news is that the fluid can leak from coroded pipes, joints and hoses over time. good luck.
